Town's woeful away run continued as the Blues were defeated 2-0 at Leicester City. The Foxes scored twice from first half set pieces, via Richard Stearman and Patrick Kisnorbo, while Jon Walters hit the post for Town, but the Blues never looked like getting back into the game.

Town are still waiting for their first away win of the season after losing 3-1 to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. The Blades were ahead in the first half via James Beattie, but Jon Walters put the Blues on terms prior to a controversial penalty netted by Beattie and Keith Gillespie's late third.

Town's poor away start to the season continued with a 4-0 defeat at West Brom. The Blues went behind to Ishmael Miller's goal during a first half dominated by the home side. Town improved after the break but were hit by a late three-goal salvo from Filipe Teixeira and Kevin Phillips (2).
